Kampala city tour

Kampala is a lively city of about two million people nestled amongst twenty-seven hills. The half day city tour includes transport with an English-speaking guide and visits to interesting sites including areas of cultural and historic interest such as the Uganda Museum, National Theatre, Craft Centers, Owino Market, Taxi Park, Kabaka’s Lake, Gaddafi Mosque, Baha’i Temple, Namirembe Cathedral, Makerere University to name a few.

Entebbe Municipality tour

Entebbe is the first capital of Uganda and it is where you will find the old colonel type of architecture blending with the new contemporary counterparts.

It has got a number of attractions which include: the site of the first catholic missionaries in Kigugu behind the airport, it has the Botanical gardens where you see several giant tropical trees, Entebbe zoo(Uganda Wildlife Education Centre), the old airport where Israel rescued its hostages during the raid on Entebbe during Idd Amins regime and many others.

Jinja District tour

Jinja which is at times referred to as “the adventure capital of Uganda” is about fifty kilometers away from the Kampala the capital city. It is the former industrial heart of Uganda.

It is here in jinja where the source of the river Nile is located, the rapids for white water rafting, bugee jam and many others.

It also the place where the ashes of the Indian President Mahatma Gandhi was scattered River Nile. Near the source of the Nile, there is a small memorial garden commemorating Mahatma Gandhi, the centerpiece of which is a bronze bust donated by the Indian Government. This area is becoming quite a pilgrimage site for Ugandan Indians, as it is one of the places where Gandhi’s ashes were scattered.

Mpigi district tour

It is one of the neighboring districts to Kampala city which is about 20 minutes drive. The main attraction is the Equator.

At the crossing point, there souvenir shops where you can buy local made arts and crafts. It also has a structure built on the crossing which offers a good photo opportunity.
